Camp Flojo is a personal project of mine: a bit of a renegade incubator for creatives from all walks of life. We strive to provide a safe, judgement-free space for artists to present their passion projects, no matter what their level of talent. Our mission is for our campers to connect with other beautiful human beings, as well as the great outdoors, far away from civilization to reconnect with what inspired our ancenstors: trees, flowing water, and the cosmos.
Our first event was hosted on the outskirts of Sequoia National Park amongst large beautiful trees and lush mountain landscapes. The second rendition we found ourselves lost at a natural rock amphitheater in the Mojave desert. Our collective strives to leave these locations better than we found them, improving and furthering the mantra: “leave no trace”. The amphitheater, for example, was littered with broken glass, plastic, and bullets prior to our event, and when we left it was spotless.
We’ve had DJ’s, rock bands, visual artists, chefs, designers and more all pass through. The only requirement we ask for is respect for others and reverence for mother nature.
